The cost of chemotherapy depends on the type of medication used, on the duration of the treatment and on the place and the frequency it is carried out.
Fortunately, social security bears a large part of the costs linked to the disease.
If your treatment involves frequent travelling, you can also obtain a partial refund from your mutual insurance.
In some specific cases you will be refunded by your mutual insurance : for the purchase of a wig, etc.
In spite of this, financial difficulties sometimes make the patient's situation harder.
If it is the case with you, do not hesitate to contact the social service of the hospital.
The earlier you talk about your difficulties, the higher your chances to be helped.
