Allocation of the funds

Each year, the Medical Committee and the Management of the Bordet Institute make requests for funds to the board of directors of the "Friends". Of course, they will provide the aid requested according to the funds available.
In 35 years, the "Friends" have distributed more than 27 millions EUR to the Bordet Institute.
The aid is distributed in different ways but it is always directed to allow the Bordet Institute to follow the latest developments in modern cancer research while keeping a human side at the same time.
The financing of research plans, the funding of researchers, the purchase of high-tech medical equipment (RMN, Pet Scan, …), the premises adapted to the reception of the patient and the medical care they receive represent the numerous aspects of the aid provided by the "Friends" of the Bordet Institute.
