Mission

Ministerial R.C.M. uses :

According to the encoded information, patients are ordered in homogenous group.
- For each homogenous group, the Ministry estimates an average length of stay that will be used as reference for the year-in-course.
- If the sum of the hospital length of stay is less than the sum of average national length of stay that are used as reference, the hospital is considered as performing and his financiering is partially increased. Otherwise, the financiering of the hospital is partially decreased.
- For the day hospitalisation, the hospital is compared with the national rate of substitution for 217 chosen deliveries.
- The R.C.M. enables the Public Health Ministry to adjust the financiering of the hospital.

Other activities and purposes of the physician in charge with the R.C.M. : to treat and to use data available in the R.C.M. in order to made feed-back towards the different hospital services.
