Emergency ward

In case of emergency, 24 hours a day, a night doctor will look after you at the 5th floor of the hospitalization. Go to the hosting of 121 bd de Waterloo. If necessary, the entrance for ambulances, situated in Héger- Bordet street, is open.

 

The protection of your private life : the confidentiality of data

All staff of the Institute is bound by professional secrecy the strictest being, and so are the volunteers.
During your stay in the hospital, administrative and medical are asked you and are done by means of computer. Our safety guarantees the protection and the confidentiality of your privacy.
The Jules Bordet Institute is an academic hospital and so, a place of scientific research and education. Your medical data can be used for research. In this case, your data is anonymous and we use them in accordance with the law concerning private life.
You can have access to your data through a doctor of your choice.

 

The respect of your choices : the consent "enlightened"

Several forms of enlightened consentement are used in our insitution. In this way, we can be sure that you received all the useful information before making decisions .
These forms of enlightened consentement include :
- The decision to be included within the framework of clinic research
- The decision to undergo an operation
- The decision to wear implanted venous access device (DAVI)
- The decision to help Research giving your biologic takings to tissues bank of the IJB.
If you have to make one of these decisions, we will give you all the necessary information to enlighten your choice. Then you have to confirm your decision by signing a form.
Because our Insitute is an academic hospital, it makes it a principle to carry out an autopsy in case of death. You can refuse this principle : you have to ask the form «Refusal to Autopsy » during your hospitalization.

 

Your opinion is helpful

We are permanently trying to find out your opinion. The assessment questionnaire of your stay, given in during your admission, is very helpful to know how much you are satisfied with our quality care, the welcome, and the stay conditions. We ask you to fill in the questionnaire and to give in it to the nurses staff of the floor, to the Hosting or the Admission. This questionnaire is anonymous.
We pay attention to your comments and suggestions, they enable us to improve our quality care.
