Bordet’n family
Why a space intended for families ?
Cancer and its "prise en charge" have a knock-on effect on families. Almost 30% of children whose the parents have a cancer, have disorders which are a familial concern. But the quality of the family background is important to face cancer. So, a support is necessary for the families.
Thanks to the support of asbl «Bordet’n Wellness», from «Amis de l’Institut Bordet», our Psycho-Oncology Department created a unit in order to offer this support. This unit is led by psychologists who have been trained to deal with children.
