Mission
Diagnoses and development
Benignant and malignant tumors :
- thyroid
- parotid and salivary gland
- parathyroid
- larynx
- pharynx
- tongue and buccal cavity (cheek, lip, palate, gingival)
- maxillary and ethmoid sinus
- cyst (branchial, thyroglossal, dermoid)
- ganglia and adenopathy
- melanoma, cervicofacial area and scalp, pinna (collaboration with plastic surgery)
- endoscopy, biopsy under echography (Dr Moerman, Dr Engelhom, Dr Leurquin, Dr Starck)
- schwannoma, glomus tumors
Surgical treatment
Surgical treatment associated with multidisciplinary oncological treatments of all the pathologies mentioned above combined with the development of up to date techniques such as the technique of the sentinel ganglia, the monitoring of the facial nerve, the CO2 laser, the cold laser against mucositis and osteoradionecrosis.
Thoracic surgery (in collaboration with the Centre Hospitalier Saint-Pierre):
- treatment of bronchial cancer
- treatment of pulmonary metastasis
- thoracoscopy for diagnosis and for pleural effusion treatment
ORL Unit integrated to the oncological cervicofacial surgery, to the medical oncology, to the radiotherapy :
Diagnoses and development
- Medical ORL pathologies
- Surgery of the nose and of the sinuses, otological surgery
- Carboplatin ototoxicity
- Swallowing disorders
- Surgery of the larynx with a CO2 laser
- Post-laryngectomy logopedic rehabilitation
- Surgery of the amigdala with ultrasound (harmonic scalpel)
- Snoring surgery
Surgical treatment of the pathologies mentioned above.
Unit of swallowing :
Multidisciplinary unit for diagnostic procedures and treatment of swallowing disorders (endoscopy, magnetic resonance, videofluoroscopy...) with Professor Lemort radiologist, the logopedist, the nutritionists.
Phototherapy
Treatment by laser and injection of a photoactive and tumoricidal agent
Thermotherapy by radio frequency.
