Magnetic Resonance Unit
Mission
The Magnetic Resonance Unit has a high-field MRI (1.5 Tesla) which was set up in 1999 and has been regularly updated since then. It allows to perform the most engineered MRI exams and spectroscopy.
This equipment was set up thanks to "Les Amis de l'Institut".
The Unit has three missions : clinical, teaching and research.
The Unit's activity is organised by modules of consultation of 4 hours (10 hours a day).
The modules deal with particular pathologies and organs, according to the sub-specialisation of the radiologist in charge.
Some of the modules deal with the research or the development of new diagnostic techniques.
The Unit ensures the MRI emergencies for Bordet Institute.
