Magnetic Resonance Unit

Teaching

• Nowadays, magnetic resonance still requires huge training efforts not only for young graduate physicians but also for specialists in Medical Imaging; actually, the technique was not available to them at the beginning, but today they have more and more access to it.

The training is made up of training courses organised within the scope of the Licence Spéciale en Radiologie (Specialized Master in Radiology) or by physicians that devote part of their time to it (generally several months).

Moreover, a continuous training is essential even for experienced MRI physicians because the specialized literature is always introducing new techniques that they have to learn and to clinically evaluate. Seminaries and meetings of weekly readings are also organised within the unit.

• The unit takes part in organising national and international lectures, especially the European lecture on head and neck medical imaging (the 2009 session will take place at the Institute), or the CEPUR lecture (at Pont d’Oye in Habay-la-Neuve), an annual lecture that will celebrate its 20th edition in 2008.
