Research

Four protocols of research (whose purpose is to confirm the efficiency of the low-energy laser used for preventing and treating mucositis provided by radio- and chemotherapies) were realised or are always in hand.

 

Protocol I : Treatment

Study of phase III which studies the efficiency of the low-energy laser in the treatment of mucositis among patients who undergo an intensive radio-chemotherapy with transplant of stem cells.

 

Protocol II : Prevention

Study of phase III which tests the efficiency of the low-energy (athermal) laser as a prophylaxis for patients treated by radio-chemotherapy because of a neoplasia of the ORL sphere.

 

Protocol III

Study of a secondary prophylaxis of mucositis among patients who have developed this complication during a precedent identical cycle of chemotherapy (study in progress).

 

Protocole IV (Project)

Study to show if the basic laser energy has any preventive or therapeutic effect on the syndromes hand-feet induced by chemotherapy or the targeted biological therapy
