The Jules Bordet Institute is connected to the Brussels health network (Abrumet), through which it can communicate with other national and regional health networks approved by the Belgian federal platform.
That means that you have been registered on a health network otherwise than through the Jules Bordet Institute.
If you have received a text message stating that you are registered on health networks and you do not object to your general medical data generated at the Jules Bordet Institute being published on these health networks, the Institute will also share your medical data on these networks with other Belgian hospitals and non-hospital healthcare professionals. We remind you that digital health networks are secure and destined solely to ensure continuity of care between health professionals.
In this case we invite you to request the “Information document on making some of your health data available via the Brussels Health Network (Abrumet), as well as their transmission through Belgian health networks” .
This document is available at the Jules Bordet reception and in your admission folder. You can complete this document to state your choices and hand it in at the Jules Bordet Institute reception that will then restrict the sharing of your general medical information generated at the Bordet or deregister you on health networks. You can also use the “Abrumet” interactive terminal directly to change the medical information you wish to share on health networks.
The Jules Bordet Institute can register you on a health network so that your medical documents will be shared with other care professionals registered on health networks. We invite you to request further information at the Jules Bordet Institute reception, to consult the “Abrumet” interactive terminal next time you visit the Institute or to consult the website: https://reseausantebruxellois.be/. Your registration can be done at the Institute reception or via the “Abrumet” dedicated terminal.
If you do not want your Bordet file to be shared on the “Abrumet” health network or if you have any questions about your registration on this health network, we invite you, next time you are at the Institute, to :
- consult the staff at the Jules Bordet Institute reception who will give you a form to fill in if you do not want your medical information to be published on the health network
- consult the “Abrumet” interactive terminal that is located on the 1st floor in the corridor leading to the Institute’s hospitalisation units where you can obtain further information and manage the sharing of your health data.
- consult the website https://reseausantebruxellois.be/ to obtain more general information. At present direct access to information and documents published by the Institute is only possible for health professionals and not for patients.
