Save the Date : BSMO-Bordet 2026
To mark this 20th anniversary edition, the symposium will showcase the latest innovations shaping the future of oncology. The opening keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Ahmad Awada on the theme: "20 Years of Oncology Innovation: Lessons & Future Directions."
The scientific programme will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- emerging cancer therapies (therapeutic vaccines, bispecific antibodies, cell therapies, etc.);
- emerging toxicities associated with innovative treatments (BITOX);
- artificial intelligence, biomarkers, and novel clinical trial methodologies;
- the IMMUcan project, coordinated by the EORTC;
- new approaches targeting tumours that have long been considered "undruggable";
- the latest developments in precision oncology in Belgium.
As in previous years, the symposium will be preceded by the Post-MASCC Seminar, dedicated to supportive care. A special session for young medical oncologists in training will also be organised, providing practical guidance on preparing oral presentations and scientific communications.
The detailed programme and registration information will be available soon.
