“Living the Summer – An event to help you enjoy the sunny days despite illness”
What if summer could also mean comfort and peace of mind despite illness?
When living with cancer, the sunny season can raise many questions: sun exposure, swimming, fatigue, stoma care, hair loss, suitable lingerie or swimwear…
As part of the new edition of “Living the Summer!”, the teams at the Jules Bordet Institute are organising two days of information sessions and practical advice (with around ten stands located in the entrance hall of the Institute) to help patients enjoy the summer with greater peace of mind:
- Adapted swimwear and lingerie
- Sun protection
- Waterproof make-up
- Well-being advice
- And many practical everyday tips
The event was initiated by the nurses specialised in supportive care and well-being counselling. They will be present throughout the event to guide patients and answer their questions in a warm and caring atmosphere.
