Researchers from the Jules Bordet Institute honored by the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium

At the solemn award ceremony of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium, several researchers affiliated with the Jules Bordet Institute – HUB were recognized for the excellence of their scientific work or research projects:

  • Cyril Bouland (Laboratory of Clinical Cell Therapy) – Laureate of the Deminne-Fabry and Jeanne and Marie François Prize.
    This quinquennial prize rewards a young physician (under 35 years old) for an outstanding work in stomatology.
     
  • Basile Stamatopoulos (Laboratory of Clinical Cell Therapy) – Laureate of the Bekales Foundation Research Grants.
    The Bekales Foundation annually awards research grants in the fields of cardiology or leukemia. In 2024, the focus was on leukemia. These grants support researchers who have made a significant contribution to research in the field.
     
  • Jérémy Blanc (JC Heuson Laboratory for Translational Breast Cancer Research) – Laureate of the “Henri Tagnon” Research Fellowships of the Cancer Fund.
     
  • Alexandre-Raphaël Wery (Department of Hematology) – Laureate of the “Henri Tagnon” Research Fellowships of the Cancer Fund.
    These prestigious fellowships, created by the Cancer Fund in collaboration with the RAMB, are intended for young physicians from French-speaking Belgian universities (ULB, UCL, ULg). They finance a research stay in a renowned international laboratory.
