October Breast Cancer Awareness Conference: "Screening, Innovation and the Patient Care Pathway"
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October), the Jules Bordet Institute invites you to a conference open to everyone, offering an overview of the latest advances in breast cancer screening, treatment and patient support.
Through expert presentations and a patient testimony, discover how innovation, research and multidisciplinary care are improving the patient care pathway and quality of life every day.

2:05 – 2:20 p.m. – Nathalie Mouthuy
Presentation of the evolution of the Breast Clinic team, the new radiology care pathway, the introduction of contrast-enhanced mammography, and the improvements made to access to imaging examinations and patient care.
2:20 – 2:35 p.m. – Dr Pop & Dr Hanouille
Presentation of the surgical management of breast cancer at the Jules Bordet Institute, including the techniques used (Da Vinci robotic surgery) and the support provided to patients throughout their treatment.
2:35 – 2:50 p.m. – Dr Desmet
Presentation of radiotherapy management, recent innovations in the field and their tangible benefits for patients.
2:50 – 3:05 p.m. – Cassandre Sturbois
A personal testimony about her care journey, her experience at the Jules Bordet Institute, and the importance of multidisciplinary support throughout treatment.
3:05 – 3:20 p.m. – Mrs Caravella
Presentation of the role of the ICSO and the personalised support offered to patients throughout their care pathway.
3:20 – 3:30 p.m. – Dr Buisseret
Presentation of the Neo-CheckRay project and the latest research innovations in breast cancer.

Join us afterwards for a convivial reception in the Piano Area, followed by a concert and the presentation of "Perfect Discord", a photographic project by artist Cassandre Sturbois.
