November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

écoute ton souffle !News (03/11/2025)

Listen to your breath!

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. On this occasion, H.U.B offers numerous activities aimed at informing and involving the public and healthcare professionals in the prevention of this disease.

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers and the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Why? Because it is often detected too late due to the lack of early symptoms. Raising awareness and informing the public and healthcare professionals about this disease can therefore help diagnose it early and save lives!
That’s why, during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, H.U.B experts are mobilizing and offering a series of activities that will allow you to learn more about your lungs, the diseases that can affect them (cancer, COPD, etc.), the available treatments and care, but most importantly, how to protect your respiratory health.

Program for Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Patient workshop on barriers to lung cancer diagnosis
A space for discussion and reflection on the obstacles to diagnosing and managing lung cancer. This workshop allows patients to express their feelings and better understand what influences their decisions. The goal is to identify concrete ways to provide support that better meets patients’ personal needs and goals, while ensuring the earliest possible care.

    Exhibition “Giant Lungs”
Visit the Jules Bordet Institute to discover giant lungs: an inflatable structure with an interactive educational pathway that explains how lungs work, their function, and the impact of pollution, tobacco, and other factors on your respiratory health. “Giant Lungs” also offers the opportunity to test your knowledge with interactive quizzes, assess your breathing through games, and interact with pulmonology and medical oncology specialists.
