L’Institut Jules Bordet au cœur de l’ESMO Breast 2025

ESMO Breast, the major annual gathering of breast cancer specialists, took place last week in Munich. The Jules Bordet Institute played an active role with numerous scientific contributions. Here is a non-exhaustive selection of the key presentations:

  • An oral presentation of the ROSALINE study, targeting lobular cancers, was delivered by fellow Soraia Lobo-Martins under the coordination of Philippe Aftimos.
  • The final results of the APHINITY study showed a long-term survival benefit (>11 years) of dual HER2-targeted therapy, building on the work initiated by Martine Piccart.
  • An educational session on immunotherapy in high-risk hormone-sensitive cancers was presented by Laurence Buisseret, highlighting the Neo-CheckRay study promoted by the Bordet.
  • Christos Sotiriou and Michail Ignatiadis participated in satellite symposia on genomic testing and biomarkers.
  • Several posters were also presented by our fellows, under the supportive mentorship of Dr Evandro de Azambuja.

The Jules Bordet Institute warmly congratulates all its teams for their outstanding presence and contribution to innovation in breast oncology.
