Reopening of Bordet’n Family

The Psycho-Oncology Clinic is pleased to announce the reopening of its reception area on Wednesday afternoons.  A place where families facing cancer can come together to be heard and interact with others.

The arrival of cancer and cancer treatment can be very disturbing for families. When faced with the illness of a close family member, children and adolescents can experience emotional difficulties, problems at school or difficulty in interacting socially. Parents and other close family members often have a lot of questions about how best to support children and adolescents in dealing with cancer.

The Institute's psychologists offer a number of psychological interventions to help families better manage illness, including the Wednesday afternoon workshops.

Wednesday afternoons are set aside specifically for children and adolescents with our psychologists on hand for creative workshops or individual interviews.

These activities are free of charge on Wednesday afternoons between 2 pm and 6 pm, including during school holidays, with the exception of public holidays.

For any further information or if you would like to meet with a psychologist outside of the Wednesday afternoon activities please contact the Psycho-Oncology Clinic  secretariat on 02/541.33.04.
