Coronavirus
iris hospital network press release (11/03/2020)
Coronavirus:
IRIS, the network of public hospitals in Brussels, announces a limit on visits.
In the interests of patients and staff, the public hospitals in Brussels have decided to impose a strict limit on visitors to hospital services, effective from this Wednesday 11 March.
The hospitals concerned are therefore the Queen Fabiola Children's University Hospital, the Saint-Pierre University Hospital, the Brugmann University Hospital (Horta, Paul Brien and Queen Astrid sites), the Jules Bordet Institute and the Iris Sud Hospitals (Etterbeek-Baron Lambert, Etterbeek-Ixelles, Molière-Longchamp and Joseph Bracops sites).
In general, we strongly advise against hospital visits, especially to fragile patients.
The restrictive measures are decided by each hospital in the Brussels public network on the basis of their specific situation and this information will be communicated via their hospital reception services, their website and their social network pages.
The hospitals indicate that these measures are likely to evolve as data on the spread of the virus continue to be updated.
We ask all close family and friends of patients to cooperate in strictly respecting these restrictions.
