Hôp'Voices Episode 15: Alexis' Story
July is Sarcoma Awareness Month – discover Alexis' inspiring story.
For a long time, Alexis suffered from back pain. At first, he thought it was simply a muscle problem, but an MRI eventually revealed a sarcoma, a rare cancer of the bones and soft tissues.
Today, he lives with a stoma and performs self-catheterization every day. It is a reality he never imagined he would face… but one he has learned to live with.
In this new episode of Hôp'Voices, Alexis shares his story with honesty and openness:
- How he learned to adapt to a very different daily life.
- The professionalism and compassion of the teams at the Institut Jules Bordet.
- The unwavering support of his wife and children.
- How this experience taught him to see life differently, while never losing the determination to keep moving forward.
