Dear All,
Dr Miguel F. SANMAMED will be visiting us in person at Institut Jules Bordet on Friday March 21st, 2025. 

The seminar will take place from 8.00AM to 9.00AM at  Tagnon auditorium (OH Nord – Foyer – Route 2985).  Breakfast is served from 07.30am.

“Cancer immunotherapy beyond immune checkpoint inhibitors”
Dr Miguel F Sanmamed was trained as a medical oncologist with a PhD in molecular oncology. He completed his training in cancer immunotherapy at Yale University with Prof Lieping Chen. Currently, he is the Head of the Thoracic Tumor Program and Group Leader at the Applied and Translational Onco-Immunology at Cancer Center Clinica Universidad de Navarra. He devoted his work to developing preclinical humanized models to support the development of cancer immunotherapy strategies. Some of his most important contributions are based on CD137 as a co-stimulatory receptor and IL-8 as a mechanism of immunosuppression.
