The team of the CPO is pleased to invite you to its Virtual Symposium in Psycho-Oncology on May 7 and 8, 2021.
Two days are proposed to you during which we will receive international experts.
On Friday, May 7, Isabelle Merckaert will welcome Professor Judith Prins (Radboud University, The Netherlands) for the day entitled "Current directions in research and treatment of fear of cancer recurrence".
This first day will focus on the presentation of factors associated with clinical fear of cancer recurrence and interventions developed in this context.
On Saturday, May 8, Aurore Liénard will host Professor Kristin Lagattuta (University of California, Davis) on the topic "Communication about uncertainty with children: the child's understanding of this concept and its implication for psycho-oncology".
Communication with children is a major concern for patients diagnosed with cancer who are parents. This second day will be focused on the presentation of general recommendations about this communication, and more specifically the notion of uncertainty, and the presentation of an intervention developed at the Institut Jules Bordet.
The Symposium will be held via videoconference with ZOOM. Participation in the Symposium is free of charge: it is subsidized by the FPS Public Health, which we thank very much.
Registration by e-mail for the Friday and Saturday sessions is required (firstname.lastname@example.org ) so that you can receive the Zoom link to access the sessions.
Looking forward to meeting you virtually !
In the name of the whole team of D. Razavi, I. Merckaert and A. Liénard
