Meet the Oncology Expert

Dear All,
The Institut Jules Bordet, Brussels, is hosting a series of “Prestige Seminars” in Oncology entitled : “Meet the Oncology Expert”.
The purpose of these seminars is to provide a review of the “State-of-the-Art” and ongoing research in a wide range of cancers diseases to an audience of junior and senior oncologists.

Please find hereunder the program of the next Meet the Oncology Expert seminars.

The seminaries will take place from 8.00am to 9.00am on Friday : Institut Jules Bordet (Rue Meylemeersch 90, 1070 Anderlecht) – Auditoire Tagnon (0H Nord - route 2985 – near the Foyer). Breakfast is provided as from 07:30 am. The event is hybrid and Teams link is provided hereunder. 

An accreditation is requested for each lecture.

“Supportive Care in Cancer news from the past to the future”
Florian SCOTTE, MD, PhD - Associated Professor in Medical Oncology, Paris Saclay University - Head of Division (Interdisciplinary Cancer Course Department-DIOPP), Gustave Roussy, Villejuif (FR)     

Prof. Florian Scotté is medical oncologist, specifically involved in head and neck cancer and supportive care in cancer. After different head positions to increase the development of supportive care wards in relation with oncological department, he has moved to Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus, Villejuif, France where he stands as Head of Division (Interdisciplinary Cancer Course Department-DIOPP) which combines supportive care departments, ambulatory care department and Critical care department (ICU and emergencies in oncology). He is President of MASCC for the 2024-2026 term, Vice-President of the AFSOS (French Speaking Association for Supportive Care in Cancer), ESMO faculty member, and ASCO member. Teaching at several universities, including Paris Saclay where he stands as Professor, he is involved in training both medical and para medical students and professionals. He is involved as coordinator or co-investigator of numerous studies notably in the field of supportive care about the effectiveness of a frozen glove preventing onycholysis, national survey on the supportive care status, and digital health. In addition, he is especially interested in the issue of nausea and vomiting related to anticancer drugs.
